Stephanie Wagner has been a solo flutist in the Remix Ensemble of the Casa da Música in Porto, Portugal, since 2004. She has performed with this ensemble at major European festivals for contemporary music (Berlin, Paris, Strasbourg, Cologne, Witten, Donaueschingen, Huddersfield, Barcelona, Madrid, Budapest, Vienna, etc.) and can be heard on a total of 9 CDs for DaCapo Records, Mode Recods New York, Numérica, Cavalli Records and Aeon. She has performed as a soloist in pieces such as "... explosante fixe ..." and "Mémorial" by Pierre Boulez, "Tempi Concertati" and "Serenata" by Luciano Berio and "Abyss" by Franco Donatoni.Stephanie studied at the New England Conservatory in Boston, USA, and at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich. Her teachers include Benoit Fromanger, Fenwick Smith and Klaus Schochow. She has taken part in masterclasses with Karl- Heinz Zöller, Jean Claude Gérard and Doriot Dwyer. As an orchestral musician, Stephanie has played in the London Symphony Orchestra (solo piccolo) and the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra. Stephanie was a scholarship holder of the chamber music foundation "Villa Musica" and has performed at the Salzburg Festival, Tanglewood in the USA and the "Serate Mozartiane" (Italy).She teaches at various universities in Portugal and founded the Academia de Flauta de Verão in 2013. Stephanie has been a course instructor for Jacobsen progressive muscle relaxation since 2018. She teaches this relaxation technique privately and in seminars to help with problems such as stage fright, breathing problems and muscle tension.
