The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Flöte e.V. invites you to its new series of online events: online webinars/flutynars on special topics of didactics with outstanding international teachers. 

In this fifth DGfF «Fluytnar», Renate Greiss-Armin was our guest. The Flutynar (moderated by Marco Lehmann-Waffenschmidt, co-chair of the DGfF) has been  recorded and is available online for all members of the DGfF as a video.

Renate Greiss-Armin was born in Husum and grew up in Kiel.

The multiple national prize winner of the «Jugend musiziert» competitions studied first with Klaus Schochow in Hamburg and later, as a scholarship holder of the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes, with Aurèle Nicolet, whose assistant she became.

She was a prizewinner at the University Competition of the Federal Republic of Germany, the German Music Competition, the International Music Competition in Geneva and a participant in the national selection "Podium of Young Soloists" of the German Music Council.

After five years as solo flutist in the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra, she accepted a professorship for flute at the Karlsruhe Academy of Music in 1980.

As a soloist and chamber musician, she gives concerts at home and abroad, conducts master classes in Europe, Japan, Korea and China and is a regular juror at international competition.
