Flutynar 12 with Gaby Pas-van Riet (Saarbruecken) – 04.02.2023 on 11:00 hr

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Flöte e.V. invites you to its series of online events: webinars/flutynars on special topics of didactics with outstanding international teachers. 

From the series «Fachdidaktik-konkret!» of the German Flute Society is the 12th Flutynar with Gaby Pas-van Riet. This Flutynar is a continuation of the first episode (from November 2022) and deals with «Mental Training» as a prerequisite for daily practising and with «Flow» situations and how to achieve and use them in the concert situation. The Flutynar was moderated by Marco Lehmann-Waffenschmidt.

Gaby Pas-van Riet was principal flute of the SWR Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart for 33 years and has been a professor at the Saarland University of Music and Theatre since 1999.

Her international soloist activities in Europe as well as in the USA, Japan and the Middle East cover the entire concert repertoire for flute. She has also earned a high reputation through the world premieres of many modern works, some of which were dedicated to her (e.g. Helmut Lachenmann) and the rediscovery of romantic flute concertos (Waelput, Benoit).

As a prize-winner of important competitions, e.g. ARD Competition Munich, as well as a chamber musician and soloist, she can be heard in numerous CD productions.
